Updates to SNAP Benefits for 36 counties impacted by Hurricane Beryl.

Current SNAP recipients don’t need to take any action to receive their replacement benefits. Recipients in Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Liberty, Madison, Matagorda, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Tyler, Walker, Waller, and Wharton counties will automatically receive a percentage of their July SNAP benefit allotment on their Lone Star Card by July 16. SNAP recipients can now purchase hot foods and ready-to-eat meals with their benefits.

Recipients in those counties can also apply for additional replacement funds, up to the full monthly allotment. Those impacted who do not live in one of the 18 listed counties can still apply for replacement benefits.
