Brian Greene

Brian Greene is President and CEO of the Houston Food Bank, a non-profit organization that uses donated food to better lives through a network of 1600 partnerships in 18 southeast Texas counties.

Since taking the top post at the Houston Food Bank in 2005, Brian has led the organization to a fivefold increase in distribution. Houston Food Bank is now the largest food bank in the world and distributes more than two hundred million dollars of food each year to over 800,000 recipients.

In 2021 Nonprofit Times named Brian one of the 50 most influential nonprofit leaders in the US.

Prior to moving to Houston, Brian was the Executive Director of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana for 12 years. Previously, he held the same position at the Second Harvest Food Bank in Knoxville, Tennessee for 5 years. Brian is also an adjunct professor for the graduate program in Nonprofit Management at University of Houston Downtown.

Brian has an MA in Economics from The University of Tennessee and a BA in Economics from Humboldt State University. He is married to Andrea Osborne and together they have sons Gavin, age 15 and Shane, age 13.

Ms. Culbreth has over 25 years of experience serving as a trusted leader and advisor in the areas of Human Resources and HSE. She oversees the strategy and execution of Human Resources, employee communication and engagement, DE&I, and Talent Management. Prior to joining Houston Food Bank in 2021, Ms. Culbreth held senior leadership roles in various for-profit industries, including Logistics, Distribution, and Transportation. She holds a B.S. in Social Work from Metropolitan State University, an M.S. in Organizational Leadership & Human Resources from Regis University and is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified.

Nicole Lander, Chief Impact Officer

Mrs. Lander is a registered dietitian with over ten years managing food service operations and teaching proper health and wholesome nutrition. As Chief Impact Officer, she leads the Government Relations, Food For Change, Community Engagement, Partner Services, and Procurement departments, along with the food bank’s direct programming for children, seniors and nutrition education. In addition, she oversees the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and benefit assistance program through the Community Assistance Program (CAP). Mrs. Lander holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Michigan State University and is an active member of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She previously worked at Aramark Healthcare Foodservice Corporation.

Amy Ragan
Chief Development Officer

Ms. Ragan has over 35 years of experience in Fund Development and Communications, half of which she has served in an executive level position. She joined Houston Food Bank in 2004 and is responsible for the fundraising program tasked with raising over $42M annually. She also oversees Marketing/Communications and Corporate Volunteerism. She previously served as Executive Director of End Hunger Network. In 2018 she was selected as Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the Houston Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She was chosen as one of Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business honorees in 2020.  Ms. Ragan is a native Houstonian and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University.
