Our Leaders
Brian Greene is President and CEO of the Houston Food Bank, a non-profit organization that uses donated food to better lives through a network of 1600 partnerships in 18 southeast Texas counties.
Since taking the top post at the Houston Food Bank in 2005, Brian has led the organization to a fivefold increase in distribution. Houston Food Bank is now the largest food bank in the world and distributes more than two hundred million dollars of food each year to over 800,000 recipients.
In 2021 Nonprofit Times named Brian one of the 50 most influential nonprofit leaders in the US.
Prior to moving to Houston, Brian was the Executive Director of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana for 12 years. Previously, he held the same position at the Second Harvest Food Bank in Knoxville, Tennessee for 5 years. Brian is also an adjunct professor for the graduate program in Nonprofit Management at University of Houston Downtown.
Brian has an MA in Economics from The University of Tennessee and a BA in Economics from Humboldt State University. He is married to Andrea Osborne and together they have sons Gavin, age 17 and Shane, age 15.

Chinelo Aralu
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Aralu is a CPA with over 15+ years of Accounting, Finance, and Management expertise. Analytical and hands-on with a robust history of delivering innovative solutions, developing efficient processes, and incorporating creative leadership skills to achieve business objectives. Committed to building relationships to assure financial systems reinforce company goals and initiatives.
As Chief Financial Officer, she is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of the organization’s operations. While also providing leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the organization. Before joining the food bank, Ms. Aralu held senior leadership roles in various for-profit industries, including Owens Corning. She has a B.S. in Finance from San Jose State University.

Kendace Culbreth
Chief Human Resources Officer
Ms. Culbreth has over 25 years of experience serving as a trusted leader and thought partner in Human Capital Management. Â As the Chief Human Resources Officer, she oversees the strategy, execution, and support related to Internal Communications, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Belonging, Talent Acquisition, Training and Development, Talent Management, Benefits, Payroll, HRIS, and Process Compliance functions. Before joining Houston Food Bank in 2021, Ms. Culbreth held senior leadership roles in various for-profit industries, including Logistics, Distribution, and Transportation. She earned a B.S. in Social Work from Metropolitan State University, an M.S. in Organizational Leadership & Human Resources from Regis University and is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified.

Tony Duong
Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Duong has over 20 years of operational and leadership experience in the food & beverage industry. Before joining HFB, Tony was the Vice President of Manufacturing at Salt & Straw Ice Cream in Portland, OR. He attended Johnson and Wales University, Miami, FL, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Culinary Arts Food and Beverage Management. Additionally, Tony is certified in AIB Food Processing/Sanitation, OSHA General Industry Safety and Health, and SQF Program and Maintenance Trained. Tony is married and has two daughters. They are dog lovers who enjoy traveling, golf, fishing, and the great outdoors.

Nicole Lander
Chief Impact Officer
Mrs. Lander is a registered dietitian with over ten years managing food service operations and teaching proper health and wholesome nutrition. As Chief Impact Officer, she leads the Government Relations, Food For Change, Community Engagement, Partner Services, and Procurement departments, along with the food bank’s direct programming for children, seniors and nutrition education. In addition, she oversees the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and benefit assistance program through the Community Assistance Program (CAP). Mrs. Lander holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Michigan State University and is an active member of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She previously worked at Aramark Healthcare Foodservice Corporation.

Julie Voss
Chief Development Officer
Julie is an accomplished development executive with more than 30 years of proven experience as a leader, fundraiser and strategist. Before joining Houston Food Bank, Julie served in various executive roles with The Texas Heart Institute, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and Memorial Hermann Health System, among others.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from the University of Houston Downtown. She has been credentialed as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) since 2009.
