Community Resource Center at Houston Food Bank East Branch

The Community Resource Center (CRC) is open to neighbors who are enrolled in our Food For Change programs – Food Scholarship and Food Rx

The Community Resource Center (CRC) empowers our neighbors by using food as a catalyst for positive change. If you are enrolled in Food Scholarship or Food Rx, you can shop at the CRC twice per month by making an appointment. This strategic initiative supports the education, health and economic mobility of our neighbors and is possible in collaboration with our community partners.

Under a blue sky sits the industrial-looking building with the large words Houston Food Bank attached to the side. Cars parked along the building awaiting their grocery pick up.

The Community Resource Center offers:

  • Healthy choice food market with extended hours
  • An in-person shopping experience with access to additional resources
  • Collaborations with organizations address the root cause of food insecurity

Current community partners include colleges and universities, healthcare partners, workforce development programs, housing programs, and many more.

You can click here to Make an Appointment. Food for Change participants should have their number or card upon arrival.
