The Houston Food Bank offers programs that help families all over southeast Texas have one less worry on their plate and avoid going deeper into crisis. Learn about some of our key programs below:
Backpack Buddy
Kid-friendly food is provided for the weekend for children facing hunger in schools grade K-12 and summer meal program sites.
Community Resource Center (East Branch)
Our Community Resource Center provides additional
assistance for eligible participants in affiliated programs.
Senior Box Program
Provides a monthly box of food for seniors living on a fixed
income to improve their health, nutrition, and well-being.
Kids Cafe
Nourishing meals provided in child care sites across 18
southeast Texas counties.
School Market
Alleviates child and teen hunger by providing food for students
and their families through middle and high school.
