On last Tuesday, August 13, Houston Food Bank partnered with Grocers Supply to rescue food from their annual Houston Food Show. HFB staff and volunteers spent the day gathering and sorting donations from the show’s vendors to bring back to HFB for distribution. Thanks to this partnership, we were able to rescue 30,920 pounds, equivalent to 25,767 meals to our neighbors. This donation of produce, refrigerated, dry foods, personal, and household items will be much appreciated by neighbors in our community. We want to extend a big THANK YOU to Grocer’s Supply and C & S Wholesale Grocers for their continued support and years long partnership.
