Volunteers 14 years and younger MUST have a responsible adult parent/guardian present while performing community service hours here at Houston Food Bank.
*All court-mandated minors must have a parent or guardian present during orientation and while completing a volunteer shift.*
Closed toe shoes and sleeved shirts are required.
All volunteers must complete the waiver form in order to volunteer in our facility. You acknowledge the waiver when creating a volunteer profile or signing the physical sign-in sheet upon arrival.
Volunteer Shifts
| Morning | Monday – Saturday | 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. |
| Afternoon* | Monday – Saturday | 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. *The warehouse afternoon shift is typically closed the first Tuesday of each month to allow our staff the time to attend a monthly meeting. |
| Evening | Monday – Friday | 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. |
| Sundays | Sunday | 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. |
