In the last few years, more neighbors have turned to Houston Food Bank for assistance. The ever increasing demand for household food and basic needs required the Food Bank to take on additional temporary warehouses. With these facilities in place, the Food Bank was able to provide greater assistance proving how much more could be done with expanded facilities.

In June of 2022, Chevron presented Houston Food Bank with a transformational gift of a 53-acre parcel located at Ella Blvd. and SH 249 on which to establish a second warehouse and distribution facility.

Houston Food Bank is currently inviting members within the targeted communities near our recently gifted land (Ella Blvd. and SH 249) to join us at the following meeting:
