The Houston Food Bank’s Operation: Hunger Relief is a four-week competition in which groups of all sizes compete against each other to support hunger relief in our community. Groups compete to raise the most meals by donating time, food, and funds. This year the Operation: Hunger Relief competition was held from September 1, 2025, to September 26, 2025.
Together, the eight participating teams raised $14,717, collected 8,045 pounds of food, and volunteered 279 hours across 81 volunteers—providing an incredible 54,908 meals for our community!
Two awards were given during the award ceremony. The Overall Award recognized the group that generated the most meals, and the Per Capita Award recognized the group which generated the most meals per group member.

This year’s Overall Award went to TC Energy, whose combined efforts provided an impressive 31,574 meals. The Per Capita Award was earned by Katniss Everbean, whose team raised 4,147 meals, a remarkable achievement for their group size.
We would also like to give a special shoutout to the top participating teams in the 2025 Operation: Hunger Relief. Their dedication and enthusiasm continue to make a lasting impact in the fight against hunger.
