We’re excited to share that Houston Food Bank now has even more volunteer opportunities—right in communities that may be closer to you. Our North Branch and Trinity River Community Resource Center are now open for volunteer shifts. These locations are ideal for smaller groups and still directly strengthens the programs and partners serving our neighbors.

North Branch

Located at 146 Knobcrest, our North Branch is a 128,000-square-foot facility that manages a wide variety of products—including dry goods, refrigerated and frozen food, and items designated for disaster response.

Volunteers will participate in building home-delivery kits and assembling disaster relief boxes.

Trinity River Community Resource Center

Our northernmost volunteer site, the Trinity River Community Resource Center at 1768 County Rd 3558, offers neighbors access to a free, choice-based market where they can select the foods they need with dignity. Volunteers will participate in stocking and sorting produce, handling refrigerated, frozen, and shelf-stable items, and assisting with other operations.

This location provides a meaningful, hands-on way to support families in a welcoming, community-centered environment.
