On Sunday, July 13th, Houston Food Bank celebrated the 2nd Annual 713 Day Volunteer Shift and Celebration. The day started with a 9 a.m. volunteer shift that included doughnuts provided by Voodoo Doughnut. Once the shift ended volunteers joined a celebration that featured music by DJ Bloom, the Astros’ 2017 & 2022 Championship Trophies, 97.9 The Box, the Houston Dynamo, ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s, treats from Exotic Pop, and Chingona Picosita Candies, and a photo booth from Flash Party Photo Booth!
The event also featured an amazing 713 Day shirt, with 100% of the proceeds going back to Houston Food Bank. It’s not too late to get your own at the Houston Food Bank store.
Not only was the day a rousing party, it also raised enough funds to sponsor 295,623 meals!
