Houston Food Bank’s 2026 Partner Conference brought together 273 attendees from across our 10‑county service area for a powerful day of learning, connection, and inspiration—all centered on this year’s theme: Elevating the Neighbor Experience.
The day opened with a compelling keynote from Dr. Ruth N. López Turley on understanding poverty’s root causes, followed by breakout sessions focused on trauma‑informed care, centering neighbor voices, service with dignity, and strengthening wraparound support.
We also highlighted one of our neighbors and volunteers, Manuela, sharing her inspiring journey toward a healthier life and the incredible impact she now makes as a volunteer—beautifully illustrating how the Neighbor Experience transforms lives.
We honored partners who stepped up during the government shutdown, and proudly celebrated Sealy Christian Pantry as the 2026 Bandini Award winner—the first ever from Austin County.
Lunch featured insights from HFB President & CEO Brian Greene, and the conference closed with The Neighbor Experience in Action, highlighting partner wins and findings from our recent secret shopper initiative.
Thank you to all our partners for your dedication and passion. Together, we’re elevating the way we serve—and strengthening the support neighbors receive every day.
