The objective of Houston Texans Huddle Against Hunger, presented by Kroger is to create more empathy and understanding among elementary, middle, and high school students regarding people who may be experiencing food insecurity in our communities, and how through spreading community awareness and volunteering their time they can help.
Huddle Against Hunger features a curriculum designed to be adaptable for all ages with interactive activities, videos, recipe demonstrations, and more! It is a great way to prepare your students for a field trip to the Houston Food Bank and/or use the activities after volunteering to help each child reflect on the community need and the impact that their community service had.
