Consider sponsoring a program or event. We will work with your company to meet its goals as a sponsor and find the best fit between our mission and your business objectives. Some opportunities include:

Programs

Backpack Buddy: Nutritious kid-friendly food for the weekend for at-risk children in grades K-12, as well as at summer meal program sites.

Kids Cafe: Healthy meals and snacks served year-round on weekdays to kids in after school and summer meal programs throughout the Houston area.

School Markets: addresses child and teen hunger in our community by providing food to students and their families at middle and high schools

Equipment: Vehicles, warehouse equipment, and other large scale items needed to accomplish our mission.

Food for Change: Strategic distribution of food that serves as a catalyst to motivate neighbor participation in partner social service programs with measurable outcomes.

Mobile Outreach: Food distribution that brings 10,000 lbs. of food including fresh fruits and vegetables to communities in need.

Nutrition Education: Classes in nutrition, food safety, meal preparation, and budgeting taught in collaboration with Food Bank partner agencies.

Produce: Fresh fruits and vegetables for children, families, and seniors.

Volunteerism

Use your corporate power for community good.

Time is a gift to hungry kids, seniors, and others who may not have enough to eat. Volunteers produce the equivalent of a meal a minute while helping the Houston Food Bank sort, process, and pack food. And it’s fun! You can volunteer in our warehouse or help prepare meals for kids in our Keegan Kitchen.

Virtual food and fund drives on the Houston Food Bank website for your office or company

Sponsor or make a large food donation to one of Houston Food Bank’s large city-wide food drives:

ABC13’s Share Your Holidays
Televised food drive where clients call phone bank to ensure they receive a holiday food box in December. Benefits include the opportunity for on-air recognition, on-site volunteer presence, and more.

Food from the Bar
A month-long competition where Houston’s legal community earns points by donating food, funds, and volunteer time. Benefits include campaign specific volunteer and networking events, website recognition, and more.
