Apples and Almonds Salad

A delicious treat and a great way to get dairy in your diet

Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium Granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1 6-8oz can of pineapple in its own juice, drained
  • 3 Tbsps dried cranberries
  • 1 Tbsp almonds (whole or slivered) type of nut is optional
  • 1 Tbsp honey

Instructions
 

  • Rinse and remove cores from apples. Do not peel. Cut into 1-inch pieces. Place in medium bowl.
  • Add dried fruit and yogurt to bowl. Mix well.
  • Chop nuts with a knife or crush nuts in a plastic bag with a can.
  • Add crushed nuts to bowl. Add honey and pineapple. Toss and serve.
