Harris County Voices Needed

Harris County’s Early Learning Quality Network wants to collaborate with you! The ELQN needs input from community members in child care deserts who know their neighborhoods best, as they work to develop improvement strategies that reflect local values, needs, and resources.

This Spring’s engagement opportunities include Grab-and-Go Family Resource Fairs for babies and young children, Literacy Fairs, community listening sessions, family coaching, and giveaways of children’s books, technology equipment, and tickets to local attractions in areas that have been identified as childcare deserts (see map). Check out the calendar of events for the upcoming months & share with neighbors who want to make an impact in your community!

These offerings are supported by the Harris County Department of Economic Equity and Opportunity (DEEO) and CHILDREN AT RISK. To apply for free home technology equipment for children ages 4-8, complete the application here.
