Houston Food Bank’s (HFB) Community Assistance Program (CAP) hosted an application assistance training for Harris County ARPA Labor Grant Recipients which include Cornerstone Family Resource Center, West Houston Assistance Ministries, and Hearts and Hands of Baytown. The training provided staff at these agencies a comprehensive overview of how to complete applications for programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, Children’ Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The goal of this training is to expand capacity for these agencies by increasing access to federal benefits in the community.
