Eleanor Tinsley Park on Buffalo Bayou
This year’s Freedom Over Texas, Houston’s annual July 4th celebration along Allen Parkway, will be six-hours of festivities, tradition, and live concert stages. As an added bonus Houston Food Bank will receive a percentage of concessions as a donation (up to $10,000), helping to fill an extraordinary demand in our regional community.
In addition to a “Texas-sized” musically choreographed fireworks finale and concert performances from Lee Brice and Ashley McBryde, the event will feature a thank you from HFB president Brian Greene. There will also be a Houston Food Bank booth where staff will be available to take questions, and our Community Assistance Program mobile center will be on site to help connect those in need with assistance such as SNAP.
Admission is $10, with kids under 5 free when accompanied by an adult. Event parking is available for a fee at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts parking garage located at 800 Bagby Street, 77002 — enter parking garage on Rusk between Houston Avenue and Bagby Street. Come out for a great night of entertainment and support a worthy cause.
