Empty Bowls Houston invites you and your family to the
17th Annual Empty Bowls Houston
at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft on May 20!

Empty Bowls is a grassroots effort by artists and craftspeople in cities and towns across the country to feed the hungry in their communities. Empty Bowls Houston is implemented locally by Houston-area ceramists and artists working in various media, the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft and the Houston Food Bank.

For a minimum $25 donation, attendees have the pleasure of selecting a bowl from thousands of one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted made and donated bowls donated by Houston area ceramists and craft artists, then receive a simple lunch of soup and water, plus a sweet treat from GoodPop and coffee from Katz Coffee. The empty bowls serve as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community and around the world.
Pottery and woodturning demonstrations and live music will be featured at the event.

ARCHWAY GALLERY OPENING RECEPTION AND EXHIBIT
Opening Reception: May 6, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Open to the public
Exhibit: May 6 – 28
Archway Gallery is once again honored to host a special exhibition to raise money for Empty Bowls Houston. More than 30 finely crafted, one-of-a-kind bowls will be displayed along with work submitted by both 2D and 3D Archway Gallery artists. The Empty Bowls artwork will be available through the month of May with proceeds benefiting the Houston Food Bank. There is a special opening reception on May 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Archway Gallery to meet the artists and view these unique works. The bowls may be purchased and taken home the same day!
