CAP SNAP and Other Benefits Event a Success

Recently, Houston Food Bank held an event to support neighbors who lost food because of Hurricane Beryl. The purpose of the event was to help SNAP recipients refresh their benefits due to the losses they incurred and to assist others in newly applying for SNAP and state benefits. Governor Abbott also announced recipients in the affected counties will automatically receive a percentage of their 7月 SNAP benefit allotment on their Lone Star Card by 7月 16. Also, SNAP recipients in 36 counites can now purchase hot foods and ready-to-eat meals with their benefits.
