Understanding how Houston Food Bank can assist with a possible government shutdown
One of Congress’s responsibilities is to approve and pass the national budget. As it was not passed by the deadline, the government has gone into a shutdown. We want our neighbors to be informed about the services and resources Houston Food Bank provides if you should need assistance.
Brian Greene went on KHOU 11 to talk about the effects of the shut down.
What does this mean for our neighbors and the Houston Food Bank:
With the government shutdown, there may be disruptions with government services like SNAP, Social Security, Medicare, WIC and other programs.
