Feed 'n Lead
Corporate Team Building Program
Feed ‘n Lead is the Houston Food Bank’s professional team building program that connects corporate groups with our mission of leading the fight against hunger.
By taking your corporate group out of the natural working environment, Feed ‘n Lead gives your team the satisfaction of doing something good for the community while developing new skills and becoming better acquainted with co-workers. And, they’ll have fun!
Strengthen Your Team, Feed Hungry People
Feed ‘n Lead projects offer a hands-on opportunity to feed our most vulnerable populations: seniors and children. The Senior Box program provides a monthly box of food to 7800 low income seniors year-round. During the school year, Backpack Buddy gives children a sack of food for the weekend.
Corporate teams are given a challenge to be as productive as possible during the volunteer experience. Working in a room stocked with all necessary supplies, they work out a plan for producing the maximum number of filled boxes or bags in a limited period of time. After an initial round and debriefing with a trained facilitator, the team has the opportunity to apply lessons learned for a more successful round two. A wrap-up discussion with the facilitator focuses on group-specific insights and takeaways.
