Heather is doing her best to raise her two daughters, four-year-old Lily and six-year-old Alyssa on her own but is finding it difficult to provide for everyone on only one paycheck after splitting up with her ex. After paying for daycare and her rent, there isn’t much money left over for anything else especially since her hours at the restaurant where she works were just cut back. She says the food she gets from the pantry is a huge help so that she can use the money she would have to spend on food for other necessities. “It’s one less bill to pay. It helps that I don’t have to spend money on food. I don’t know what I would do without it.”
