Emergency Food Pantry
Operated in partnership with the Emergency Aid Coalition, this pantry is located at the Houston Food Bank and is open extended hours to serve working families and individuals.
Food For Change
Food for Change will strategically distribute food as a catalyst to motivate client participation in partner social service programs with measurable outcomes.
With help from volunteers, hot meals are prepared in our kitchen in the Mary Barden Keegan Kitchen for the Kids Cafe program.
Healthy meals and snacks served year-round on weekdays, along with nutrition and health education, to kids in after school and summer meal programs throughout the Houston area.
Classes in nutrition, food safety, meal preparation and budgeting taught in collaboration with Food Bank partner agencies.
Red Barrels offer a convenient way for grocery shoppers to donate nonperishables to their neighbors in need through nearby food pantries.

Serving for Success
Serving for Success is the Houston Food Bank’s partnership with SER-Jobs for Progress (SER) that trains individuals for living wage jobs while they volunteer at the Houston Food Bank. With help from Serving for Success participants, the Food Bank can keep costs down as we grow and feed more hungry people. At the same time individuals gain skills for life as productive citizens.
