Volunteer Positions

In addition to regular volunteer duties, the Houston Food Bank offers enhanced opportunities for volunteers that wish to take on leadership roles or participate in off-site events.

Senior Box Distribution is an ongoing project where volunteers are needed to go into the community to a local partner agency with a Houston Food Bank staff driver to deliver senior boxes. Senior boxes are built at one of the Food Bank warehouse locations. Boxes weigh about 30 pounds, and will help feed a senior in our community for about a week. This is a unique opportunity because volunteers are interacting with clients.  Complete the form if you are interested.
